Social anxiety is the fear of being in a group organization; it can, however, be restricted to a certain situation. I have self-diagnosed myself with social anxiety. I believe that I have social anxiety because I overthink situations that other people think nothing of and when I am about to give a presentation or even send a text in a group message I contemplate it for a long time. I want to change this because it causes problems in my life and makes it harder for me to do the things I want do to. I also think my life would be better if I didn’t spend the extra time thinking about the insignificant details of every situation which is just a waste of time. Social anxiety is the third largest mental disorder in the world, at any point in time about 7% of the world’s population is affected with social anxiety. About 15 million Americans are diagnosed with social anxiety.
